The ground outside is white due to snowfall. Winter has come. Temperatures are below freezing. It dropped quite quickly from warm, pleasant weather to...this.

I have been enjoying the Cync. Wine Delight 'Jem' which unexpectedly put out a spike late this year. My other Cync. are all spiking a second time. I think I really like the Cyncnoches.

Weather here has definitely turned toward winter. Yesterday was 60 F and sunny. Beautiful. I woke up this morning to 37 F and 6-7 inches of snow. It is still snowing (another 5 since we plowed ) and is expected to snow until Tuesday. Have I mentioned I hate winter ??? Lost power and had to use the generator (thank goodness we have one) so we (and the 'chids ) would not freeze. Have I mentioned I hate winter ???

My "wine delight" just got done with it's first bloom. Only two blooms, but I guess that's ok for a first bloom. I'm happy

It might bloom again! My Wine Delight won't as it is losing leaves. I had not expected it to bloom this year so I was delighted (ha ha) and surprised.

I am not too fond of winter, either. It was still snowing when we were out doing some shopping. Windy, cold and snowing.

I have some orchids that are enticing me with spikes. My two newest Tolumnia each have some nice buds growing, so I'm eagerly awaiting those. It seems like Sundays are my "Twilight Zone" days. Today me and my boyfriend went to go see the Nutcracker ballet. Before that, however, he took me to nearby restaurant where a. . . past encounter was working. Thankfully he wasn't our server, but now he's gonna think I'm creeping on him. . . ugh. Then near the end of the first half of the ballet, I started to get really tired. Having that music play while one is in a dreamlike state is kinda wild.

I had forgotten that this is the time of year for the Nutcracker! As a teenager, I had friends who were in the ballet so other friends and I went every year to see the Nutcracker. While I still listen to and enjoy the music, I no longer attend ballet (I have seen it enough times!).

I'll have to go see it again in the future. I at least figured out why I felt so tired. I had a sangria at the restaurant, and I forgot how alcohol can make me drowsy.
