My family is all located in the Tamps/St Pete/Pinallas Park area. I am the lone one that went elsewhere when young. I definitely agree with you about the changes. Sooooo many things have changed over the years. Lots for the better, lots for the worse. The drive out to Ft Desoto Park would just about bring tears to anyone having driven that 20-30 years ago.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)
