Default Snow - How to hate it!

I know, lots of you folks are in either warm climes, or south of the equator, but some of us are sick of winter already! Every day is a gray day. Every day is a 'shovel the drive day'. Sorry for complaining, but I have to vent! Actually the 'chids are complaining as well! OK, that makes this an orchid-related thread!?

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

We have snow here too! While I don't hate it, I can't wait to start my seeds for the garden! I am wondering if I could use the unused space in my orchidarium for seed starting, or would there be to much shade?

Vent away, Ross!

I can definitely relate to the grey days... but thankfully there's no snow in sight here. Just checked the weather forecast and its pretty much the same all week - overcast, chances of showers, relative humidity above 90% - which at least the orchids like! - even if they don't like the lack of sunlight and short daylight hours....

I thought that they were predicting the Lakes would freeze this winter and thus reduce the amount of snowfall??? I guess that hasn't happened!

If you can't stand the cold, get out of the freezer...

Just got back last night, few pictures of a sunset in the Mayan Riviera...

Those pics are truly awesome. Reminds me of home here in Fla.
please don't hate me
I really know what other members here in cold climate are going through...I grew up in NY and although there's nothing like cold snowy days during the holiday's, it blows once that's said and done. I used to get the winter blues badly this time of year.

I think you should all come to Fla.!

I was of the understanding that Cadillac has more sunny days than most of Michigan.

I have a lots of sunshine here today in Grand Rapids, cold but sunny.
