Monthly Status Reports - Including November reports
All it takes is one simple idea for us to turn it into a fun and interesting option here at Orchidboard! 
Shakkai posted a thread listing what's going on with her orchids in the month of November...great idea 
Ross (rsfrid) picked up the ball and rolled with it!
I've copied links to both of those individual threads here to this new thread...and now the rest of us can continue the trend 
Thanks shakkai and Ross...great idea! 
I'm thinking we can do this each month...what do you guys (and ladies) think?

Interesting. Hmmm. Oki dok. I'll give it a try.
We can name it, the Orchid Times. A little local news paper(electronic) by OB members for OB members all about whats happening to their orchids (hence the local part, you know, like small town news).

Do you think it would be worth it for our  Marty to set up a specific forum for this?
There's no harm in asking as long as we, as a community, make the effort each month to

I personally am interested at least in winter when not much is going on except snow shovelling. But in summer? Hmmm, I'd have to think about it. Of course, not everyone will need or want to post (How would Mauro's post look?  )

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

LOL...my thoughts exactly!
I know not everybody will put up a report every month but it could be a very interesting way to communicate with each other. If somebody lists a plant with some sort of action happening and another member has questions about that plant, it would be the perfect way to stimulate a conversation about it.

Let's get some other reactions before I ask Marty to do this new forum set up...he certainly does plenty already and I wouldn't want to ask him for more if it isn't going to be something we use often. We could just keep it as a monthly thread just as easily.
