I've just ordered some...um...thin chains with hooks for hanging flowerpots? Do they have any specific name in English these chains? A hanging flowerpot is called "ampel" in Swedish so these thingies becomes "ampelkedja" in Swedish where "kedja" means "chain".

Oh, got a bit sidetracked there. Oops.

As I was saying, I ordered three of these, one of each for my Phal. schilleriana, my Phal. stuartiana, and my Phal. Wiganiae (mommy, daddy, and little baby must all go up in the air!) and tomorrow I'll be doing some shopping after work to buy two large fans (we're dying from heatstroke here, all of us!) and two humidifiers. All for me, my cats and my chids. What I do want to buy though are some more Paphs instead.

Oh well, I much prefer this kind of shopping compared to shopping for new clothes which always ends up with me getting a migraine.

But I still want some more Paphs...

It is a fun addiction. I'm glad my family puts up with it. Of course my spouse has GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) so a new orchid here and there doesn't really compare to music gear.

Yes it's a fun addiction, but can quickly get expensive! I told myself that I would order no more until late summer after getting a dozen new ones this month. But now my favorite grower sent me an email with the list of new stuff, and there are 2 that I HAVE TO buy!! It's hopeless to resist, and I might as well spend part of my vacation bonus that I got only 3 days ago....

LOL... Some days I think orchids are worse than drugs as they can be quite addictive. I have no more room for any more, yet I see one I like and it follows me home (along with 2 or 3 others)!!!!

I keep telling myself I am finished but the orchid society provides many opportunities to acquire more. I have been doing quite well resisting...only bought the three neos at the last one.

You know, now that you mention it, I've been contemplating cleaning out the basement in one corner, constructing a floor to ceiling tent, installing some lights, humidifiers and fans. Multiple shelves with room for at least 200 more, lol.... Oh my, I've got to stop this!!!!!

Mutant, until your "addiction" hits $1,000 a dayyou can't really call yourself an addict. Not when I read about 'those" other addicts who rob to feed the habit I swear I'll not buy anymore, until I see the next must have.
