My haul from the Redlands Show!!!

I went today with my wife, with tunnel vision: vandas, encyclias. There were so many beautiful things to see, but here is what I came away with!

Ascocentrum ampullaceum



Ascda Crownfox Mystique (Ascda Meda Arnold x Vanda Trevor Rathbone)




Encyclia profusa, the blooms are just opening, but they will progress to a beautiful, creamy white! I saw a large plant with about a 4 foot branched spike FULL of these blooms.



Ascda Roslyn's Best (Ascda Fuchs Gold x Ascda Meda Arnold)
I did see one of these with old spikes at every leaf!!! Can you imagine?!




Hmm, looks like Ascda Meda Arnold is going on my list.

Congratulations on the new plants. That orange ascocenda looks like a winner. How was the weather? On Friday a big thunderstorm came through just as I was leaving in the afternoon. I only picked up a couple of things but I enjoyed browsing.

It only drizzled a little as we were leaving around 2:30. It was a bit overcast, hot and muggy. I had a blast!

Great haul ! I specifically loved the Ascocentrum apullaceum with its spotted leaves...I was worried that I have some fungi on mine but when I looked it up online...my Ascocentrum really have dots all over the leaves...its so cool...

Gage, those are awesome. If I had any chance of getting some of these smaller vanda family plants home, I'd have seriously thought about it. Just awesome.
