First orchid show

Apparently, there is only one orchid fair a year over here, so I went down yesterday morning. It was very small, but I got a few snaps. Please excuse the focus quality of some of them, I am not great with a camera, and because the show was so small, I couldn't take my time with the shots (I'm completely inept so I really need it!). Thanks for looking! There'll be a few more in the next post.

The last one is a bulbo picturatum that the botanic gardens have in their own collection. It's huge! See the size of the label on the far left?

Oh, I also came home with a milt spectabilis var moreliana, and two very young plants - an onc longipes and a max tenuifolia.

Geez that Bulbo is huge!! Must be quite a sight in bloom. And I looovvveee that Paph! Glad you got the Milt, so I guess you are doing like me, and very unofficially joining that project?

And nice pics too, despite being in a hurry. I think it helped that the show was in a greenhouse, the light is fastastic. I went to a show a month a go but didn't post any pics. They were terribe since the show was in a very very dark building.

Thank you all for looking! I was just annoyed with some of the pics because the flowers are out of focus but the leaves or background are in focus. Typical me.

Camille, you are right, the light made all the difference! And I am going to join the spectabilis project now - unofficially of course. I hope it gets big as quickly as you say they do!
