Default Bud opening on C Penny Kuroda

This is a large plant that sits on one of the lower shelves in my orchid room. With the way I haven't felt too good lately, I guess I haven't been paying close attention to the 'chids...because this is what I found this afternoon and I didn't even know it was in sheath!

Hi Sue, Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well, I am sure the new flower helps a little. Hope your feeling better soon.

Thanks Dave and Dorothy

I've been waiting a long time for this one...it's been so long that I forgot what it was supposed to look like!
It's open a bit more now and I am expecting a beautiful bloom by morning
The color on this thing is amazing!

Sorry to hear you've been under the weather.

I can't wait to see a picture of the flower fully opened. The color is beautiful.

Here she is! Hard to get a pic capturing the true color...it's a much deeper shade of violet than is shown here:

Very pretty Catt!! I have not seen one bloom so close to the sheath.
Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Hopefully that will change soon.
