Just realized I haven't given a good update here lately.
First of all, thank you Paul for your kind thoughts and prayers.
Chanse seems to be coming out of this surgery better than most. Of course he is getting older. We came home that same night which is a first for us. He is sleeping through the night. He is not having to stay on his pain meds regularly. Just now and then when he has done too much. He has to wear knee imobilizers and a wedge pillow all night and last night he did so with very little complaint and still slept well. He is such a happy guy and a real trooper.
I just want to take a moment to let you all know that it was a true comfort to me to know that there were people around the world thinking of and praying for my family while I sat and waited for him to get out of surgery. It is amazing how the internet can be so helpful in bringing kind souls together.

I've only just seen this Jonda, I will pray for his continued recovery, it's so good to hear he has been doing well since the surgery, the power of prayer is amazing |

Well, everything has been going very well here. Went to his post-op appointment on Tues. and don't have to go back for 6 months. However, now one of the incisions looks like it is getting infected. This poor kid!!!

I just saw this post.
I have a young adult son who broke his hip in a fall and needs it replaced. I would give anything if it could be me and not him.
I feel for you as a parent and wish the best for your son.
