Default My trip to Cloud's Orchids!!! I'm hooked!

Hi everyone...I went to Cloud's Orchids yesterday...with my mom....cuz it's birthday time!!! ya hoo....
EPLC Mae Bly with new shoot possible spike and Brs Eternal Wind 'TOW' in spike!

I now know that I am certifiably hooked on orchids...
The Phal was from Home Depot...another $5 bargain.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Yep! I always wanted a spider orchid....Cloud's had one on display, and it was absolutely beautiful...the yellow is pale...just lovely...I had to have it!

Oh, they had the Mae Bly on display and the green is much lighter than the picture I posted...it's truly lovely.

Looks like you were almost as bad as we were. We (sister, mother and I) have been there twice this year already. Will need a greenhouse soon if we keep this up. Brs. Eternal Wind is very nice, I think they had it in bloom when we were there last month.

Yes, the Eternal Wind 'TOW' on display is a first bloom.. I was so happy to get an LS with a spike! How far away is Cloud's from where you live? (if you don't mind me asking)
