This just seems like it can't be true but our good friend Dorothy has passed away

She was a wonderful friend, moderator, jokester and all around cool lady...she will be sorely missed by many

Just realized that I didn't give any details...that's because there are none available to us at this point.

This is all I can find:
Stan Czyzyk This is not a rumor. I am her Nephew... her final services were last Friday.

It comes from a thread on Dorothy's page I'm so stunned
I will update if and when I hear anything more as will our other OB/FB friends

OMG! I'm in shock! I just recieved a invitation on facebook from her. I have a hibiscus from her that I will always cherish.

My sincere condolences to her family. RIP friend.

I am so saddened by this news I've had difficultly taking it in all afternoon.

My prayers will be with her family and to all those who knew her.

Dave, there is some talk on her facebook page that several people had invites from her account after she had died. Her family does not know why that has happened but some of them received them to. For that reason there was some people hoping her death was just a rummor, but as Sue has quoted, her family have confirmed it

I am sad to hear of Dorothy's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting her last year at the NYBG Orchid Show. She was a very sweet person.

I am very saddened by the news of Dorothy passing away. I always enjoyed her postings here at OB. She will be missed dearly. My condolences to her family.
