Orchid Storage is Getting Out of Hand... Female
Default Orchid Storage is Getting Out of Hand...

I am beginning to think I need to rent a storage unit to keep all of my non-plant orchid stuff. Several years back I bought one of those tall Rubbermaid cabinets to store chemicals and potting shears/labels/wire/etc. My husband put it together. That is full.

Then I bought an unfinished bookcase for my orchid books. My husband stained/finished it and set it up in the bedroom. That is full.

I started putting in displays and the area in the garage became tighter and tighter. My husband set up a corner in the garage...that didn't really do the trick because the backdrop and props, lighting, baskets, lighting, cloth, etc. And about that three tier tool box on wheels...today that dear man cleared off shelving to get some of it off of his garage floor. Let's just say I have a jumbo Rubbermaid filled with things for an oriental themed show (don't mention the Rubbermaid for a pirate theme.) Rubbermaid full of black cloth. You get the picture... Cache pots all over the place....

At this point I should mention the (almost) complete collection of AOS Orchids magazines and Sanders...they are sorted by date in stacks of Rubbermaid tubs.

If you don't own stock in Rubbermaid, I'd recommend it...I'm about to reorganize.

I will also admit to having stuff stored in my office...trying to avoid marital discord...

I have too many plants though...some of them I'm ready to give away

And my husband is laughing from me because our small balcony is packed with this stuff. I'll show him this thread.

I am not allowed to bring home any more orchids, so they are all in my office
Here's hoping that they don't fire me.

Hopefully it will happen not earlier than your office will look like subsidiary of the Botanical Garden.

Well, thanks for the support. It is certainly a problem! I've got stuff stashed all over the house.
