SB Orchid estate Open House - Orchid Board

Did anyone else make it to the sale at the SB orchid estate?
I have to say I was floored! I had never been there before and just was amazed! I think I was lost in their orchid rows for a least a good 2 hours lol.
I also felt pretty good because there were people walking around with wagons FILLED with orchids that they were buying. I wasn't in the least bit nervous about my arm load hehe.
Must have been the enticement of the $7.50 cym divisions. They just dumped cyms dry root all over the table and people went crazy! I never saw so many people clawing over orchids like that before

I was there at the very end on Saturday. It was pretty amazing, but I didn't get anything because I'm having trouble finding a proper climate to make them bloom and grow happily. I need a back porch that has some protection from the extreme heat and cold. Right now they are inside and only my mini is somewhat happy. But what a place! You could hardly get through the isles of cyms, and the mounted species they had mad me want to start an orchidarium!
