Default We joined the Tampa Orchid Club!
Yesterday, my friends Laura, Linda (catlady),LindaRoderick and I took a ride down to the Tampa Orchid Club monthly meeting.

We have been talking about going for quite some time but it is an hour's drive and not something that we got to till this week

Laura and I joined mid-meeting :dance
Linda R. signed up this morning

I won a gorgeous Phal violacea in the raffle and met some really nice people. This club's roster includes Bill Thoms and Doris Dukes, Jim Clarkson and Ryan Kowalczyk!

Hahaha...I spotted it as soon as I entered the room and was amazed that none of the 6 or 7 folks ahead of me grabbed it before I got to it

I'd join the club, but I'm not sure I can make it to the meetings.

It looks like they're gonna have a sale at the USF Botanical Garden in October. Maybe I'll treat myself to a few birthday gifts.

The distance to the meetings was something that kept holding me back but the number of prominent orchid growers in the TOC was too hard for me to resist

The Orchid Expo will be at USF Gardens from Oct 30-Nov 1

I will be posting the flyer with additional information
