Default A funny story :)

I was just looking for orchid growers in europe & just read a 'true' story, that made me smile. An Italian grower has written on his web site. It goes....
The Italian grower Knows a French Grower who always shows at the Orchid Show in the city of Orléans. He has a customer who comes every year, & who does everything to make sure he's always the first inside and that he has first choice..He's a cattleya fanatic... anyway for years the grower watched his customer and noticed that he would always pay for the Cattleyas and as he walked off, would then stop at the first ladies he met, would take a pair of scissors out of his pocket, cut a bloom off a plant and give it to the lady/ies...
He's a quite shy timid person but he finally decided to ask his client Why? he did this?
The client answered that he was building up quite a collection of Cattleyas in his greenhouse & that every time he went to shows his wife would then go & have a look in his greenhouse.. therefore his wife did not notice his new acquisitions and it avoided all conflict.
This put a smile to my face & I wondered about how many people do this????

I haven't done that before, but what a great idea!!! My wife never looks too impressed when I bring new chids in the door, but maybe she wouldn't realize they are new if they do not have blooms on them!

Sounds like a variation on the story that some ladies use. They sneak new clothes home and into their closets. When questioned about the new outfit, they look all innocent and ask, "Oh, this old thing?"
