That might be too bad, but they say they will still be in business. It's one of my main suppliers, so I'd hate to lose that contact. They have great stuff.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Parkside Nursery is a great place to shop and it is only about an hour away from me. I am hoping whomever does buy it takes what they have established and builds upon it!

As a side note....this wekend is Orchid Fest so you know where I will be heading

Tom;

Get anything good? It seemed this was Masdevallia year.

My wife and I picked up a pair of Phrags from Woodstream and a Neofinetia, Aerangis, Angrecum, and Sarcoglottis from Cal-Orchids.

As usual, we could have gotten a dozen more if we had the room or the money.

Cheers.
Jim

I came home with 12 plants from the fest this year

5 tolumnia hybrids, a paph , 4 masdevallias, a phal and a cattleya

plants courtesy of orchidphile, oakview, parkside and cal orchid.

I got a bunch of phrags from woodstream last year. The first one that bloomed is in the phrag lovers group.

he had a pure white phrag that was 150 but thats way out of my price range for now

I went on Friday, thought I'd beat the crowds, and picked up a Paph. wilhelminea & Paph. dianithum. I could have bought a lot more but left the credit card home and only took cash.
I thought the selection from the vendors was pretty good. A nice mix.

Parkside does have great stuff - I just hope that if someone takes it over, that they will continue on with the tradition!! There is nothing worse than new management/owners that try to strip a place down, you know what I mean?

Unfortunately I was unable to make it...I was on-call for work and had to work an issue most of the morning and afternoon. By the time it was resolved it was to late to head out and we already had plans for Sunday
