This thread hasn't seen action for awhile and is worth the bump.
When you spend $1000 on new camera equipment just so you can post better pictures of your orchids on OB.

I did the same earlier this year! I upgraded my 10 year old dlsr to go mirrorless. I got a Canon EOS R7 and it is amazing. I can now use my old unstabilized macro lens hand held even if less than optimal light conditions. Next purchase will be a new lens since sadly my favorite Tamron lens that I use 90% of the time is incompatible with the camera.
What did you get?

If you need supplies and buy orchids during the same order 'because you can', despite knowing that finding a spot for the new orchids might be a problem.

But it's good financial sense. If you're going to pay shipping costs you might as well fill the box with orchids too!

Yes, that's true.
When I bought my Vanda tricolor var. suavis the seller also had Paph. White Lady for sail. I thought "Why not, same shipping costs"

You might be an orchid enthusiast -
when you ask ChatGPT to write a poem about Vanda tricolor var. suavis.
The result is amazing. And scary at the same time.
Quote:
In the heart of the forest, where sunlight gleams,
Vanda tricolor var. suavis weaves its dreams.
A symphony of hues, soft and grand,
Adorning the wild with a painter's hand.
Petals whisper secrets in shades of cream,
Dappled with freckles, like stars that gleam.
Blushing with purples, kissed by the dawn,
Each blossom a jewel on the verdant lawn.
A fragrance so sweet, like a lover's sigh,
It dances on breezes, as soft as a cry.
In the embrace of leaves, green and lush,
The orchid stands proud, in the morning hush.
Nature's artistry, pure and divine,
In Vanda's embrace, the worlds intertwine.
Beauty eternal, in petals unfurled,
A delicate wonder, a gift to the world.

I wonder whether I still have some Fujichrome 35mm slide film in my refrigerator? It was great for greens.
