Is it just me?
Or has this board slowed down with the end of the contest? I have been hoping that with all the new members, and with the practice we all got at posting, the board momentum would keep up. Come on folks, while there is only so much activity a hobby can support, I just know there are lots of plants in bloom, lots of questions you all want to ask, and lots of information you are just dying to share. With me?

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Too true. I guess I should start, and set an example

This forum is one of the most active orchid forums I've found. There has not been a single night that the chatroom was empty. The less frequent posting may be due to the fact most people are busy getting ready for the holidays.

I would agree with the holiday business - 16 days until Christmas!
New posts may have dropped off slightly compared to the first 2 weeks of November, but the first 8 days of December have had an average of 70 posts per day - not too shabby. Ho, Ho, Ho!

I have to agree, a bit of slow moving at this time, but with the holidays just upon us, watch out January

I tried posting to several messages this morning and none of my posts show up! Maybe that's why the board is light of late?

Ross, the same thing happened to me this morning...I think it may have something to do with the upgrade the site is undertaking.
I'm sure all will be back to normal very shortly
I agree that the reason for the light traffic may be people getting ready for the holidays.
Things will definitely pick up in January...after all, that's when the beginning discussions start in choosing our next OrchidBoard Project...our 3rd!!!
Put on your thinking caps folks...remember, Intermediate and nothing too large as many growers have space issues.
First step is to decide on a vendor...hopefully we'll be able to get a discount as has happened in the past 2 projects...thanks to Andy's Orchids for project 1 (Phal lobbii) and Oak Hill Gardens (Angraecum scottianum)

Same thing happend to me. I had to copy and exit out of that page and re-enter and paste the post to get it to work and it worked, I thought it was our new computer, we've been having some issues with connections and what not, so I'm glad it's just not my issue

I can start a new thread with no problem , but on the reply to an existing post I type hit quick reply the page goes blank says stopped , then go back and refresh and it shows up , is probably the java graphic on the top of the page ? No problem with advanced .
The board will pick up when the weather clears up and plants can be ordered Gin

I hear ya! Everything will pick up when the weather warms, the days start getting longer and the chids can go out on the deck
