Default Changing Avatars?

This isn't a question of how, it's really more of a philosophical question. We get used to seeing certain avatars and associate users with them. It's kind of like a friendly face. So, the question is: do we keep our avatars forever, change them often, or try a few until we feel comfortable with one to keep forever?

Just curious what you all think.

I like my own avatar. I think it's easier for me to recognize my own posts and your right it's sorta like a familiar face

Royal, I just recently figured out how to insert the image for an avatar. I've been a member since '07.

I do think it's ok to change every so often though. Guess I like variety.

I expect that mine will change from time to time. I sort of like mine, but haven't yet found a better one on the way to the 'perfect' one. Even a 'perfect' one may change on a whim. Like hair color in my younger days, "subject to change without notice". (These days, that's too much trouble, so just letting it do its own thing.) Avatar may change, go back...hmmm, what do I want today?

I tend to like certain flowers a lot and when I photograph them I consider whether they would make a clear easy to read avatar. Once I get bored with that one, then on to next one. Just my 2 cents.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)
