Default Status Report September, 2008

Here's what's happenin in my world

Angraecum didieri is about to go into a forth blooming since moving to the tank! 2 blossoms this time.

This was second time to bloom. Third came and went, now I have a double for the forth. More later on this guy!

Dendrobium moniliforme Matsushima is trying to bloom again. Last time the buds blasted. Here's hoping for this attempt.

Tuberolabium kotense has 2 spikes in advanced development. Looks like a keeper this time around.

Pleuothallis tribuloides is in bloom for its second year. Since I recently remounted it, it isn't very esthetic, so I won't photograph it, but it is very healthy.

Last year's bloom. This years is marred by the new mount.

Dyakia hendersonianium is now showing pink in its blossoms.

Last year's bloom. This year I have one spike. No need to re-photograph.

Aerangis citrata has two advancing spikes and a possible third new one. The first spike out dead headed and just sits there.

Paph niveum is in flower on second blossom of same first spike. This was in flower when I received it. This flower developed after the orginal one ended.

Paph Golddollar is about to open the first of two flowers. This is a multifloral with a second blossom not far behind.

Vuylkstekeara Melissa Brianne has a second spike developing. This is a slow grower to be sure.

Potinara Titan's Fire is still in blossom.

This year's (current) bloom.

Bllra Peggy Ruth Carpenter is in bloom again (what's new? ) 6 Spikes from rather current new growths. 5-8 flowers each spike. Wonderful fragrance - that's why I keep the 'old girl' around, I guess .

Epidendrum ellipticum is in flower, duh! It's always in flower, it seems.

From a previous year.

Tolumnia Sniffen is still in flower with something emerging from the base of the main flower spike - either a new spike or a Keiki.

Earlier this year.

All in all, a great summer so far

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Ross, that is a great report! It's been a while since you posted pics of your tank with all your blooms, hasn't it?
The Potinara, Bllra, Tolumnia, and Epidendrum I would love to see! If you have posted recently, please point me in the right direction. I'm getting senile, you know.

You are very welcome
I know it's 'our' thread but I thought I'd personally address it to you since you did start it
