Thanks, Tim! There were so many really different things at this show. I swear there was even more variety than at the London Orchid Show. Even though I came home with quite a few plants, there were quite a few more than I put back!!

Jim, If you - or anyone else - has any advice on the Mexipedium, I sure would appreciate it. It wasn't a cheap plant, so I really hope I don't kill it!!
Thanks for looking!

Thanks so much, Yvan. I think that is why I was attracted to that Paph... I love the sort of splashed on, irregular, painted look.
If nothing else, it stops and make you look at it!
I've never seen anything like it in Paphs before.

Thanks! It is interesting to see how people react to that Paph... Just posted a poll, and I hope to get some interesting comments about it!

I like the weird flowered Paph. . .course it's not like the other Paphs have normal flowers. lol
And the pots look great!
Just checked out the Mexipedium xerophyticum! OMG This one is amazing!

Somehow I knew you would like my choices. In fact, there were several times that I said to myself at the show - "If Gwen were here...."
(and then again, when I got home and started re-potting )

Terri, I'm glad you like them! See pics above for closer shots of the Masdies. They are the cutest things. But I can't wait to see what that Masd. Midnight Plum looks like! Its a cross of coccinea ( IOSPE PHOTOS) x discoidea ( IOSPE PHOTOS)

The Telipogon and the Pleurothallis are in spike, and as you can see, two of the Masdies have flowers...

The one on the left looks like a Drac to me.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Ross, that one is Masd. (Pink Mist x Snow White) - so a hybrid of two hybrids.
Pink Mist = strobelii x coccinea
Snow White = tovarensis x Angel Frost
(with Angel Frost = veitchiana x strobelii)
So a right good mix of species! I think it has a really, really good form for a Masdie.

I totally agree. I love the display. Nice blossom (for a Drac imposter )
