Default Another great find at Big Lots LOL

I love going into Big Lots and just looking around. I always find something that I can use...usually something other than what it was meant for The candle holders and votives aisle is where I find most of it

I picked up two of these last week, they're about 2" in size and made of soapstone. When I found that they seem to 'hold" a little bit of coolness, I figured the Masdies might like them...and they do! I went back and picked up more of the same size and three of the 3" size

Nice haul. You never know what you'll find, eh?

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

It's usually my first stop when I'm looking for "something" but I'm not quite sure what

I always come out of there with a bag of "something"

Gheese! You remind me of my wife She just goes "lookin'" Like can't you just come along? I want you to go looking. Nope! I don't do that. I go to Home Depot 'cause I need paint. I go to a store cause I need a hinge. I definitely don't go to "shop" How does one just stumble into an orchid deal unless one is shopping for orchids I wonder how this happens - one just fell into the cart. Yeah, right! Like "I was shopping for 'stuff' and this orchid just fell into the cart!" How can any husband be this dense? You know you wanted it! And he knew he was letting you have it! My wife simply rolls her eyes and says "what does the blossom smell like?" "How soon before it blooms?"

I, too, am a Big Lots fan. Often find some pretty excellant deals on things.

I wouldn't have thought of using those for orchids. Excellant idea as they also have holes for better air circulation. Wonder how they would do for you neo folks?

along the way, I've found a few great things for orchids!

Here's the bottom part of a trinket box and another candle holder with holes over one entire side. These came in 4 or 5 different colors and I have a number of them
