Default New plants

I picked these three up today from Odom's Orchids.

Brassia Santa Barbara 'Riverbend'
It was way overgrown in a 6 inch pot, so I put it in a basket with a mix of spagnum and styrofoam peanuts.

Paph druryi
This was the last one, they said most of theirs died before they could sell them. I think it may be because it was potted in pure sphagnum moss. I put it in a bark mix, there were a few rotten roots but it still has a fair number of good ones.

Paph Julius
Two mature growths and a new one, maybe it will think about blooming within the next decade.

Looks like you made a sweet buy. A bit of TLC on your Paph druryi will surely bless you with blooms, but overall it looks great. I use to live not far from Odoms, but not into chids at the time. One day when I get back down south I would like to visit Odom's, are they located on Glades Rd. in Ft. Pierce?

I won three more at tonight's orchid society meet. They're all a departure from what I normally grow, but you can't argue with free (unless it's a Dendrobium).

Oncidium NOID

Nice Paphs. That druryi will pick up and grow pretty quick once it's established and happy. Great buys!!!

Their website is www.odoms.com Their slipper collection is very small, mostly leftovers from a few years back. None of the paphs I bought from them were listed in the catalog. They do have a large number of really nice big Bel Royals if you happen to be looking for one.
