I had a health issue back in 2016 that nearly killed me. I have made the slow road forward, but lost nearly the whole collection (thankfully it was not a huge collection). I could save only a few plants that did not mind huge amounts of water-- strangely an Indian paph and a New Gunea dendrobium were among them.
When I finally decided I was well enough (and when I started making an income again) I decided only to get phrags and paphs and keep my collection window sill size. It is so much easier. They all need the same care, more or less. I also changed a few things that I did not do before, like I got some fantastic grow lights-- and now I water with RO.
So maybe going with one type of orchid for a while will help?
Oh while I was sick I got a 2nd Masters Degree, and am making far more than ever before, so I used the down time for school.
