Being in this "shelter-in-place" mode would be harder!

I feel the same way.

I have an Angranthes grandalena in-spike that I am really looking forward to. I am especially proud of it because I got it into spike all on my own.

I can barely wait though for Thursday when the weather is warm enough that I can take many of my plants to the patio.

I have invested recently in a large hammock and patio furniture in preparation for a "Summer with the orchids on the patio". Now that I have written that down, it sounds like a play.

Yes, it would make things much more boring. Fortunately, I have lots of extra time to shop online for Orchids, and have added quite a few new ones to my collection. But I'm taking a break from buying for a while now

I have been getting a lot of credit card points buying orchids since the stay-at-home order started.

When there is travel again, I'll probably be able to go to any show for "Free".

Right now I have started filling up an online cart of fragrant (and extremely malodorous) masdevallias and Bulbophyllums that I am debating getting.

I do that sometimes. I go to a nursery's website, and I start putting things in my cart that I want, telling myself it's just a fun game of fantasy. I'm not actually going to buy the plants. But then I buy the plants. Not every time, but sometimes haha. Especially if it's late and I'm sleepy in bed on my laptop, sometimes I actually buy the plants.

That is exactly what I do. It starts as a fantasy but before I go to sleep I often end up buying them in a moment of weakness and regretting in the morning like some sort of "orchiholic".

There are some other orchid society members with whom I do group orders. I seem to always get the emails at night asking me if I want to do an order with them...so, late night orders seems to be common among us orchid addicts.

I'm pretty sure every time I have ordered some plants and then later thought, "Ya know, I really didn't need those, I probably shouldn't have ordered those," the order was placed in the middle of the night. I guess when it's late and we're sleepy and maybe we are laying in bed all comfortable and relaxed, our inhibitions are lowered and that voice that asks, "Is this a good idea for you right now?" is harder to hear hahaha
