This is my very first Brassia. The ID is Eternal Wind. I've had it for about 5 months now. It was so large and pot-bound when I got it, that re-potting it after flowering was quite a chore!

Anyhow, here are it's crazy roots! I had no idea it would make so many. There are also three new growths (only 2 are shown).

Nice! I don’t know how this one grows in the wild but some epiphytic orchids produce “nets” of roots to trap falling leaf litter and other oraganic debris with the roots absorbing the nutrients as it breaks down. Maybe that’s what yours is trying to do?
