This is a plant I imported from Peru about 5 years ago. It bloomed with about 35 flowers on 7 inflorescenses on a small plant.

That is really cool. Is that the standard amoung of blooms for that genus?

The number of flowers in the genus odontoglossum varies quite a bit. Some have shorter inflorescences and 5 or 6 flowers, while others will branch and have as many as 50+ on one spike. Odm cirrhosum has been counted in nature with a spike approaching 100 flowers!
There are about 60 species in the genus, with much variation even within each species concept. Colors range from white to pink to yellow to brown and various shapes and sizes.
Odm praestans is one of the smaller representatives of the genus.
