Default Onc. Tiger Crow 'Golden Girl'

This one is in bloom at the moment. It's the only named non-Phal orchid I ever found at Home Depot. It is a regular bloomer for me.

That's a beauty! I wish I could find gems like that at our box stores. Phals., always Phals. Years ago we had a little selection, but not recently.

Oh I like this one. I have seen this one or one that looks very much like it at 2 different grocery stores. I don't know if they had tags or not. I had to slappa my hands to keep from getting them.

Thanks. I haven't seen anything good in Home Depot since. This was about 3 years ago and there were several other choices too, but they weren't real cheap either. So I watched for the blooms to go downhill and then asked to get a discount on another one. I had done that on a Phal when it was past its prime. But no, they were going to keep them and re-bloom them-ya, good luck. They sat there for a good year or more. I guess eventually they were all sold one by one or died.

It has good sized blooms and has grown 2 spikes for me the last 2 years. It is also a compact grower, although good size, meaning it doesn't ramble and the growths so far aren't the kind that climb upward like some. So those are all a bonus in my mind.

Very nice. I had this orchid and it was thriving and blooming regularly. Then, I moved and it was in a dark basement for 2 weeks. I moved again and the light was not adequate there for a few more weeks. So several weeks with little light and very little water killed my 'Tiger Crow' and 2 catts. There's a tiny green growth on the 'Tiger Crow'. I may try to save that little bit if the roots are okay. I'll be mounting orchids today, so I'll get a closer look.

Yours is stunning.
