Last Weekend I bought a great looking orcid, the flowers have a beautiful pattern and the combination of purple and yellow is not seen that often.
Cultural advice on watering, temperature and light is still welcome!

I usually start by looking it up on the Internet Orchid Species Photo Encyclopedia, and then search more.

I usually do a quick google search on my phone before I buy an unfamiliar orchid for my collection. That way I can decide if I can give it an environment to thrive. I have had to pass up many beautiful plants/blooms over the years.

It's a beauty! That color combo. is exactly what popped up when I researched complementary paint colors to my light yellow living room. My daughter was not sold on the purple color for the hallway.

It is gorgeous. Odontoglossums need cool temps and bright light and plenty of humidity and moisture.
