This year the flowers didn't last as long, as they did last year.

That's crazy, I hardly know what I'm looking at! How long did they last this year versus last year?

Indoors it will last less than 2-3 weeks. Outdoor 1-2.
This year they only lasted about 5 days all blooming.

This is a Brassia hybrid for those who are curious. Brassias are not known for long lasting flowers, unfortunately.

Definitely a bummer. I know it can be mind boggling when they die early. I've had a couple flowers die relatively quickly and it drives me a little crazy because I can't figure out was it something I did or didn't do? Is that just how the plant felt/feels? But on the other hand bloom life is just one more reason to be a nerd and keep track of our plants details!

Brassias do last long, about as long as oncidiums do generally.
I had this one, witch doctor.
Mine always lasted good two months.

Something is wrong with yours, maybe? or condition issues??

I also have other Brassias that last way longer. My Warrior last just as long and is floral. It smells like baby powder

My Witch Doctor had a typical brassia scent as well. A bit spicy (peppery??) and a bit sweet.

I hope your plant does well and bloom better & longer next time!

Maybe it dried out to much. I know that was why my Twinkle blooms were not lasting.
