Tolumnia Genting Pink Lady in bloom

I saw these for the first time ever last week and thought it was a new hybrid. lol

My favorite tolumnia is Pretty N Pink (or is it the other way around??), and Genting Pink Lady really resemble Pretty N Pink, except they have varying amount of yellow. I've seen a few that had so much yellow that the flower looked peach leaving just hint of pink near the edge of the petals.

I picked up 6 tolumnias in spike. all different varieties. I thought I would like to have a surprise when they all open up!
Some have three spikes! I've never seen such well grown tolumnias.

Yours look great with leaves all staying short and close together.

I gave them strong light when I had them before, but the leaves will get really tall and big.

Yes, I have seen the Pretty 'n Pink (yours, I think), and noticed the strong resemblance!

I should say that this south-facing window is relatively shaded so the light, while at times direct is limited.

Most Tolus are sun lovers. Mine grows in the south facing window in winter - gets direct (weaker, winter) sun most of the daylight hours. Then, mid-spring to early summer, I put it outside to either the front porch (gets direct sun all morning during the longest days), or the back patio (getting a few hours of direct mid-afternoon sun). It spends a few weeks in a west facing window in spring - after direct sun is gone from my south facing window, but before night temps are warm enough for it outside. I found that none of my windows -excepting the south one in winter - got sufficient light for my Tolu hybrids to bloom. I'd put it in a very sunny east or west facing window this time of year, south facing window in winter.

I know, it usually happened when I bought them in winter, just like some phals, but oh, well.

Most are doing fine.

I wonder who named these hybrid name "Genting" by the way.
Anyone know???
