Before any one mentions it I know the leaves are wrinkled. I was treating this one very badly but it has bloomed for me every year.

It is looking much better.

The group at the left should have been like the other big ones but I broke it off, so sad. I posted the bad close up. I can't get the good photos like some of you do.

Wow! I can't even see wrinkly leaves for all the gorgeous blooms! Good growing!

silken thank you so much, this little thing is a trooper I tell ya. It has put up with my under watering for several years and still put out blooms.

It is looking better than it has for ever so maybe next year will be a whooper.

I have one, multiplies like mad, nice bulbs, healthy foliage, but puts out very tiny stems, barely 4" long? What is the best way to grow it? It is a rescue from 2012, though, so maybe it's just recovering? It didn't bloom at all last year.

Beautiful blooms! One nice thing about oncidium hybrids and the intergenrics is even with rough treatment and not the best culture they still manage to put on a show. Now that you know to water it more, wait until the next blooming!

I don't really know what to tell you, maybe it is just recovering. My poor thing has been suffering for years with my under watering. I re-potted it the end of March last year.

It is when I found this board that I found out I needed to water it more. I did know I needed to because it always had wrinkled leaves but I could not finger it out as I though it had to dry out before I could water it.

I was not finding the happy medium. Mine gets morning sun. These blooms are longer than they ever have been before and have lasted longer. It would always drop it's bloom very early, gee I wonder why?

Perhaps it needed a bit more water.

I think mine gets plenty of water, the bulbs are fat and the leaves are firm and not wrinkled. I did repot it last year since I always put them in clay pots as soon as possible. It has more than doubled in size, so perhaps next year is the year.

Thanks Bill, you said it, it kept on trying. I can hardly wait till next year. It has four new growths two of which it had the nice big spikes on both sides. As I said I broke one off so it only has three now. One small growth has one side small spike and one that didn't have any blooms but it is growing a new bulb.

Thanks Jinxy.

Ron I will keep my fingers crossed. I'll bet it will be better next year.
