Rodrumnia Tiki is another cross made by Gavin Yamada of Puanani Orchids. The spikes are short which is a good thing. The spike on the right has 8 flowers and 6 buds. The flowers with the whitish skirt are the young flowers. Dark maroon striations will appear on the skirt as the flowers age. I purchased the plant 2 years ago when the plant was in a 2-inch net pot with no media. The plant and the net pot now sit in a wooden basket. It receives a daily mist in the morning.

Thank you Hawaiiansun for your beautiful pictures. I cannot wait for spring to arrive and acquire these plants. Do you know if your sources for Tolumnia ship to the mainland? If you have any other Tolumnia, please continue to post on this thread!

This is Rodrumnia Bravo 'Nalo Beauty'. It is a mericlone that I obtained earlier in the year from Puanani Orchids. The plant currently has a taller spike that has full of buds. It should give a nice display when the flowers open. Note that the spotting is different on each flower. This is common with equitants. Each flower seems to have its own fingerprint.

The flowers on this Rodrumnia Spunky is larger than the average Tolumnia. The relatively short spike has five flowers. The flowers just opened within the past week. The plant is mounted on a board and hung.
