This has sulked for nearly two years, but I persisted with it and although it didn't produce a lot of flowers, they are MUCH nicer than when I bought it. Really big with much nicer form and colour.

Thanks for looking.

This is a pic of what the flowers looked like when I bought it:

Very pretty. Beallara don't produce a lot of flowers unless grown perfectly. Give lots of nitrogen when growing new growths and then when mature switch to a low nitrogen high phosphorous/potassium fertilizer.

Nice! I love how the flowers seem to have more spots with your care. Is that related to more light?

I'm getting better at the photography bit. Having a DSLR does make things easier!

Oh, my fertilising habits have been all over the place this summer. With the nice weather, nearly all my orchids got stuck outside and therefore got whatever the other plants were getting.

Which was mainly a dilute mix of tomato fertiliser. Shh.

I also tried my hand at home-made seaweed extract with seaweed collected from the beach.

I don't know. It could be. Something tells me it's probably more related to temperature. I've been leaving it out at night so it's definitely been experiencing cooler temps. Though this hybrid is supposed to prefer the room temperature range, it hasn't batted an eye and we're down to 13C at night now.

Thank you Sonya! The size and form did make me think more of one of its parents, Tahoma Glacier. I'm not complaining about that!
