Thanks, folks.

The plant is mounted in/on an EcoWeb "b" (or half-note, for you musically inclined - see attached thumbnail).

I used a suction cup to hang it against a wall, in the shade on my deck, and just did a hand-held macro shot from about a foot away. With the narrow depth-of-field, it really blurs the background.
