Default Miltonidium surprise!

I spotted a new growth on my miltonidium when I was repotting it a few weeks ago. So every day after repotting I would check on the little growth, standing and staring at it (as you do ), hoping to see some progress. It hasn't really made any progress and I was starting to get worried. (see first pic)

I was so busy staring at that little growth I completely missed one that's quite advance at the back of the plant! (second pic) And this morning I spotted another, very tiny, one! (third pic) I am thrilled! If I get the culture right this year I have the potential for six spikes!

Yay!!
Maybe more than 6 spikes, since some bulbs could make 2.
What's the name of this plant?

It's Red Brick Road - a smaller flowering version of Bartley Schwarz with a brighter red on the petals. I've only ever gotten it to give me one spike at a time so even if I get two this time I will be very happy!

I am so excited for you. More spikes means a magnificent show of blooms...
I noticed the pleating of the small growing leaf(second picture)...the plant is telling you to water more...

Thanks guys! I didn't spot that but I imagine it's because it just got repotted. It was an emergency repot because the medium started to break down and there were signs of white mold on it. If there were any transferred spores I didn't want to encourage them to grow again by being over-zealous with the watering (it's also been cold and the mold here likes it cool and wet!). That little growth wasn't visible when I repotted so it's come up during the time I've been trying to keep the medium a little dry. It is so difficult to keep conditions optimum sometimes!

I will be sure to up the watering now that plant looks like it's in the clear!

Great growing, be sure to show us pics when it flowers. I have Bartley Schwartz but have only rebloomed it once. Your pinker version sounds wonderful

Well, still no flowers on this one... yet. It won't be long now though! The large spike is also doing something strange - looks like it's branching. This plant has never branched from the spike before. Could someone confirm if that's what I'm seeing?
