I told myself not to do it
But I passed the orchid section and this orchid already in bloom jumped into my cart. Really! I didn't want another but I had to do it! It was lonely
Just purchased Vuyl. Melissa Brianne 'Shady Lady' HCC/AOS and will post pics tomorrow after I do proper setup and get images ready. Pic will be in this thread. Large purple blossom, intergeneric cross. 4 spikes, one in total blossom, 2 coming on strong with colored buds and one to come later.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Similar experience
That's funny: I had the same thing happen to me the local public garden plant sale. This heavenly scented Maxillaria rufescens was in my car - I had to take it home. It is so cute in that Maxillarian way.

Those aren't roots hanging out of orchid pots? ..
They are feet!
