Maree, that is a beauty! That is how I treat my brassia's. Lots of light and dry between waterings. Fertilize weakly weekly. I bet you are enjoying this one!

I have one, blooms in early summer! Like Kiki says, bright defused light, almost dry out between waterings. Mine is in long fibered sphag moss.

Can I transplant while in bloom? This beauty is in a 3 inch pot and dries out in a day. I'm not sure if I can transplant while in bloom or should I wait until it's done blooming. I would really like to get him on a schedule of watering every 3 days at the most. I would love any expert advice. Mucho thanks -Mel

I would wait. Enjoy the blooms first!

I have this same plant and I mounted it in my Oak tree while it was in full bloom and it did just fine. No loss of flowers. I wouldn't divide it until it's done flowering but re-potting shouldn't be a problem. These like plenty of water and fertilizer but cut back in the winter to 1/3 amount. Spray the leave's in the summer but don't wet the buds or flowers. They need plenty of light to bloom. Good Luck.
