Rodriguezia venusta

My Rod. venusta is blooming nicely but without the fragrance.Can anything be done to fix this,or did I get a pretty little dud?

You might find it has a fragrance at only certain times of day.

I think that is relatively common with orchids to have a specific time when they are fragrant.

Thanks,Rosie. Absolutely correct.Scent is for attracting pollinators;morning and daytime for bees and such,evening and night for moths and bats,anytime for orchidaholics like me.Morning,noon,and night...none of the famous R.venusta scent. Perhaps something cultural.The temperature doesn't fluctuate as much now that everything is inside...I'm at a loss for an answer. Oh well, it's beautiful at any rate.
