Default Miltonia moreliana

From what I understand, this used to be identified as a variety of Miltonia spectabilis, but was recently given its own species classification. First ever bloom for this guy, so the flower shape isn't perfect; there are five more buds forming on other growths, so hopefully it will get better as it progresses!

Thanks for looking!

Very pretty, Stephen, and interesting. I have a young one of these but didn't know they'd changed the name. Thanks!

Wonderful.

I saw pics of this when I was looking for the miltonia spectabilis for the summer project and most places still have it listed as a variaty of that.

I love the colour of this one, whatever it's called this week.

Yeah, the constant name changes are a bit frustrating, huh? I have about a dozen tags that I need to redo when I get around to it.

Incidentally, the flower opened up some more, so I'll have to post a better pic later today.

A better pic, now that the bloom has opened all the way.

Woow, that is beautiful. Must put this one on my wish list! A Dutch grower as a plant named: Miltonia spectabille var morelliana. Could that be the same as yours?
Can you tell me a bit about it needs?

Nicole

All the pics I have seen of Miltonia spectabille var morelliana are just like this and I think it is the same plant.
