Default No ID Oncidium - found the trick

Had this one for a couple of years and was never able to get it to bloom. I put it outside this summer and that seemed to do the trick!

Hey, whatever works! That is what this hobby is about. Somehow you stumbled upon this guy's needs. Great growing!

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

I have an Oncidium "Gower Ramsey" that should look alot like that one of yours, and I can't get it to bloom either. I most definitely will throw it outside this summer! Thanks for sharing your secret to success!

Default It may not be the answer for all

orchids, but, in my situation, I have no choice except to put my orchids outside in the front yard. It faces south, but I have two very large trees in my front yard. ( 60-70 feet tall) They provide dappled shade for my orchids and they like being outside, where they put on all kind of foliar growth.

Default I forgot to add this-

my greenhouse gets too hot in the summer time to leave the orchids in there. Sometimes it's 100 to 120 degrees, and I can't think of any orchids that would like that.
