Default Oncidium lanceanum Lindl.

For me, one of the most beautiful Brazilian Oncidium species! Extremely fragrant! It is native of the Amazon forests and likes hot and humid environment, but well ventilated otherwise it will rot. It is not easy to grow in my area where the temps fall as down as 38-39 Fº, but here it is in full bloom, three spikes!
Pseudo bulbs are very small, leaves thick and broad.
As for the genus name, some want to change it to Lophiaris, others to Trichocentrum... well, it is Oncidium for now!

Quite nice Mauro. Really fine roots. I understand why it might have a tendency towards rot if kept to wet.

I had a few faillures with this species before, Dounoharm. But, always wanted to succeed, so I insisted! The temperatures in my area are not the best for it, but I guess I found the way, finally! I'm very glad that I did it !
