Default Wils. Aloha Sparks 'Halloween'

First of all, better pics coming. Secondly, has anyone else ever bought an orchid without ever having seen its bloom? I did just because of the name. I was born in Honolulu on Halloween so I had to have it. It's also my first Wilsonara. I'm definitely not disappointed in it either!

Great colours and good choice! I imagine most of us have bought an orchid without seeing the bloom at some time or another. Going by the names and the crosses, I envision all kinds of wonderful things, often to be disappointed. This one is a winner!

I clicked on this thread because I found this orchid's name so amusing. I love the name and these pics...beautiful orchid.

Most all orchids I purchase aren't in bloom but I can't say that I ever bought one, not knowing what the blooms would look like.

You're lucky that it's such a great looking flower because You had to have this one, just because of it's name. Enjoy!!!

What a fun name. I would not have been able to resist it either, sight unseen. It's beautiful.

Yes, I have by name only. Halloween sound like fun and what a wonderful surprise. It's a cute little bugger for sure. I never heard of a Wilsonara but then again there are a LOT of orchids that I haven't heard of. Thanks for showing, very nice indeed.
