Aliceara Hilo Ablaze 'Hilo Gold' with twisted leaves?

Hello everyone. This is my 1st post on the Orchid Board. I have a small collection of various types of orchids (phalaenopsis, cattleya, dendrobium, oncidium) that I grow inside using semi-hydro. I purchased an Aliceara Hilo Ablaze 'Hilo Gold' HCC/AOS a few months back (not in spike) and now have 3 new growths which I believe are some type of new leaf stalks. What troubles me is that the leaves are so twisted/crinkled, in some cases so much so that it does not look like they will lengthen/open up. Otherwise the plant looks healthy. Any idea what I may be doing wrong? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

That is the classic look of an underwatered Oncidium. The pleats won't go away, but further growth will be normal if you water more frequently going forward. In S/H you can water daily without harming plants.

Thank you so much. Yes, there was a period of time when I was not keeping the media as wet as I normally do because I thought the yellowing leaves I was experiencing were due to too moist media. I have another oncidium, not an intergeneric, that definitely does not like to be kept so wet, so I thought this might be the case here as well. Obviously I was wrong. And I subsequently realized that this orchid might want more water and have been doing that now. Thanks for the reinforcement. Another case of user error (mine)!

If the other Oncidium is in S/H it can also be watered frequently. It's unlikely an Oncidium established in S/H would have problems due to overwatering.
