Default Miltoniopsis breathless ‘Good Woman’ first bloom and a question about media for it

It is just this one flower and I am glad to see this seedling grow and give me a bloom.

My question is about media. I keep it fairly wet and I noticed that mold is growing in the pot. Do I need to get rid of it and if yes, how do I do this?

Mold that grows on dead organic matter won't affect living plants. I don't worry about it.

You might not need to keep it quite so wet. Try letting just the top get a little dry. That might keep the mold down and allow the plant to continue doing well.
