Default Rotting pseudo bulb

I have an oncidium with a rotting pseudo bulb. It's rotting but still has nice green leaves. Should I wait until the leaves die or just cut it off now.
P.s. It just started new growth.

Could that be sunburn?

Actually yes. You're probably right. I did run into some high Temps a while back. Thanks for mentioning that. I thought it odd that it just started rotting. So if it is sunburn, do I just leave it?

The entire pseudobulb may die, or it may survive with a dry brown scar. I would not cut it off because it might still be able to make new growth. Treat the plant normally; don't worry about rotting.

It needs more time to see how it is doing... orchids don't do anything fast.

It looks worse. Most of the pseudo bulb has dried up, but the leaves on top are still green. I'm just going to leave it alone until it falls off naturally. Luckily a new one has started growing and will be fully grown in another few months.

Once the new growth is strong, if the bad one is still there (especially if looking worse) you could remove it with a single-edge razor blade. But if possible, keep it until the new growth is mature, it is likely still drawing on that old one for energy.

Thank you. That what I was thinking also. Overall it looks healthy. It just has the one sunburned pseudo bulb. But the roots are healthy and it has new growth and a sun screen on the window so wish us luck.
