DONT disturb the roots - OR - Is the AOS wrong? Female

It will surprise you... these can spike on rather small plants. (I have a Pyp. Kalihi that I got in a 4 inch or 5 inch pot, in 2008. with 1 spike. And kept putting out new growths and new spikes... it hit its maximum about 4 or 5 years later, when I had flowers on 8 out of 13 spikes open at the same time. Over time, old spikes did die back and it had to grow a new set... right now it has about 6 spikes, usually not more than 3 or occasionally 4 open at the same time.
