Miltonia Herr Alexandre, new pseudobulb browning
Default Miltonia Herr Alexandre, new pseudobulb browning

Hello,

I would like to get some advice on my Miltonia Herr Alexandre. The new pseudobulb is getting brown and one of the leaves on the old pseudobulb is yellowing.

I mist it everyday and I think I might have overwater the orchid. Would you recommend to remove the young pseudobulb? (and hopefully a new one will grow) or just leave it and let the whole pot dry and wait what happens...

I am quite new to the group, so please be gentle

Best,

Vesp

It is planted too deeply, allowing water to stand in the leaf axils and become great little pathogen breeding grounds.

Pull the plant up until the base - the junction between pseudobulbs and roots - is right at the surface.

Thank you! Just pulled the orchid up and discovered the new pseudobulb is yellowing. Should I remove it or let it rest?

I would leave it alone.
