NOID ID help!
Default NOID ID help!

Hi everyone,

I got the most beautiful NOiD Oncidium I’ve ever seen at the local Trader Joe’s. It’s flowers are thick and waxy with a light sweet fragrance. I’ve never seen an oncidium with such thick petals and this unique color. Does anyone know what intergeneric cross it might be or even a named oncidium that looks similar? Thank you!

It doesn't look an Oncidium...Something with Miltonia background?

It is not possible to identify it 100% a plant without a tag. We can more or less identify the genus but nothing more than that.

As you've probably figured out in the time that you've been a member here, it's impossible to give you an exact ID on a NOID orchid. That said, it looks quite a bit like a Colmanara Masai Red that I had, which I think has been renamed Oncostele Midnight Miracles. So I'm not giving you an ID, just saying that the flowers look similar to such-and-such, if that gives you some sort of satisfaction. I'm sure it might look similar to several other such-and-suches, too, though.

Thank you! Someone also pointed out it looks a lot like Vuyl. Jerry Lawless 'Sheila' and after seeing the picture I think it might be it (or close, as it will always be a NOID

It almost looks like it might be a Zygopetalum hybrid, a picture of the base and leaves might help narrow it down.
