Yesterday morning we were finishing breakfast and watching the birds. It is extremely cold here and we have a lot of hungry feathered friends!

We always have bluebirds but yesterday there was one on the suet right outside the greenhouse window! Then 6 of them landed on the heated birdbath, I grabbed my phone and three of them flew away.😣 However, here's a picture of the remaining three. Now, forgive my photography, Tindo has spoiled us all.

Of course, this morning we had to buy them a meal worm suet cake! Turns out our juncos love meal woms and cleaned up everyone we put out for the bluebirds!

I hope you can enjoy these.

I love watching birds in winter! Well, all seasons really. I have an elevated large deck, and it over looks my long driveway. I have several feeders on each side and love to sit and watch them. Yesterday I watched a large group of robins splashing and dipping in the overflow stream from my well houses. Winter is hard but so very pretty.

Lots of reasons to smile! And I got two bag babies at Lowe's, lots to choose from, too!

I can't watch small birds from my balcony. I live in a flat too high from the floor level. But I can watch a couple of birds of prey, medium sized. Could never identify them but it's fascinating to watch them stopped in the air.

Btw, Carol, the photos are not that bad.

Today in the midst of the snow storm, we saw two Hawks soaring and a ring neck pheasant standing right by the road. Road birding! Birds of prey are very cool, rbarata!

Aww, thanks! You have to look for small slices of joy cause you may not find big ones else wise.

Those birds are so cute! I had a little feeder but we had so many bird visitors, my backyard was always a mess and I had to refill it daily. So now we only have a couple hummingbird feeders. I get a daily visit from a Berylline hummingbird that is always fighting with a Broad-billed hummingbird. They are really territorial and will even fight the House finches that are still looking for the feeder I used to hang. Now I feel a little bit guilty for making their lives harder this winter.
